Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor hailing from Bahrain's Manama was raised in the multicultural home of a family. The father of Jacqueline's Elroy Fernandez is originally from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is Malaysian. She is the younger of two sisters and one older brother. She was born and raised in Bahrain. The family of her parents relocated to Bahrain in the 80s due to the civil war within Sri Lanka. In the wake of her winning the 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a program about Sri Lankan Business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was born to badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. As a teenager Padukone was a participant in numerous National badminton competitions. But she gave up her passion for the game when she decided to become a fashion model. Padukone's native language is Konkani. The model is Mangalorean by origin.
